What happens after the witch hunt in Dragon Age Origins?

I'm confused with Flemeth's appearance in DA 2,and how she looks younger than when she was in Origins. So did Flemeth take over Morrigan's body? And one more.Who is Hawke, and was he somehow linked with Grey Warden you get to control in Origins.THANKSWhat happens after the witch hunt in Dragon Age Origins?
Flemeth overcame her death by casting magical fragments of herself across the world. Whether she took over Morrigan's body is not really known, but in DA2 she says, "I raised her to be as she is, I cannot expect her to be less." When Hawke comments that s/he's not sure if Morrigan is Flemeth's daughter or enemy, Flemeth says, "Neither is she." Since she's referring to Morrigan as her own person and in the present tense, I'd guess that her body is not possessed by Flemeth. Flemeth's appearance probably has more to do with designers updating her than anything else.

Hawke has no connection to the Grey Warden, although if you import a DA:O character, their decisions will have minor effects on the game (if you sided with the werewolves in Origins, there will be a short werewolf related side quest).
