Dragon Age Origins will it make my pc slow?

i have games like the sims 2 and 3 and they work fine but i have played two worlds on some ones else comp. i think it was i dell i have a pc but i don't want to play 50 bucks for something that doesn't even work? i have a hp desktop windows vista.Dragon Age Origins will it make my pc slow?
