Im playing dragon age origins (the first one) and it lags horribly every 2-3 secs, for around half a second.?

for gamers, you know how crucial that half second of lag is in decision making. i just reinstalled my old 8800gt to see if it was a card prob. it wasnt. %26lt;though the 8800gt whupped the graphics%26gt; additionally, ive set ALL and i mean ALL graphics settings to the lowest possible. still the periodic lag, 2-3secs apart. i have questions that need to be answered:



1. is it my processor? processor: intel core2duo e6700 2.66ghz (i know weak)

2. or is it my copy of the game? da:origins, torrented (no offense)

3. is it a driver compatibility thing?



ps this problem occurs in me playing medal of honor 2010 and CoD:MW2 as well, which i dont understand.
