Is dragon age origins a good game?
I have always been into rpgs. But I have never found one that I liked until fable 2. It was an awesome game, but its way too short. Only like 12 hours of story mode. But i hear dragon age origins has somewhere around 100 hours.
How is this game?
How big is the world?
Does it have online or co-op?Is dragon age origins a good game?
The game is okay.
The world is pretty big.
There is no online or co-op.
Took me roughly 60 hours through one storyline (Human Noble). There's 6 storyline "Origins" to play through, and numerous sidequests. You could probably double the time if you raised the combat difficulty too.
It's not the most amazing graphic-wise, but it does the job (think KOTOR with improved textures), and nearly every line of dialogue is voiced.
The world is quite large, but there's no "overworld" exploration. Basically you can choose where you want to go ala Baldur's Gate 2, with chances of random encounters while crossing the world map.
No online or co-op, unless you count the ingame marketplace. You have multiple party members, though. With the amount of strategy needed for higher difficulties, I'd dare to say that multiplayer would hinder the experience.
In my opinion, it's one of the best story experiences available. Is dragon age origins a good game?
the game is great, world is fairly big, and there is no online or co-op but what i dont get is why poeple are taking so long to beat it i did every possible thing you can do in one playthrough in 25 hours on hard, ya the game is long if you play it like 3 times but alot of other rpg's are 50+ hours through one playthugh no matter how fast you go.so if your a slow gamer like every other person but me whos played this then you should get 100 hours out of it.
I like it because I'm a big medieval buff
so:
It's very good
Pretty big
nopeIs dragon age origins a good game?
Great Game 9 out of 10
Its very Large
Single Player no co-op or online

What kind of RPG is Dragon Age: Origins?
I know, sounds like a silly question. It's similar to one I had a few weeks ago about Mass Effect 2.
Is Dragon Age: Origins similar to Mass Effect 2 in the sense that you are told where to do missions etc. or is it more like Oblivion and Fallout where you're thrust into an open world with no idea what to do?What kind of RPG is Dragon Age: Origins?
It pretty much tells you what to do, just not in what order to do it XD so it can be confusing if you don't know where your going, though you can just look it up online and it will tell you where to go.
:D if you do get it! Heres a trick to level up all the way ~%26lt;3 , when your first mission (don't worry i wont go too far into detail so its not a spoiler) but for your first mission at the beginning at the camp, just get the blood, (you'll find out) and once you just get the blood go back and talk to the guy and he'll give you the exp and tell you to go get the scrolls, but you can just talk to him over and over till your leveled all the way up! XD sure some things can still kill you very easily but its nice if you get lost so you wont die as fast :)
It's sort of a mixture really, it's created by the same people as Mass Effect (BioWare) so you'll find a lot of similarities within the two games.
Personally I think it's a lot more open world than Mass Effect; you develop your character traits a lot more and the storyline isn't as linear. Also as you can choose the sort of character you are, there is hours of gameplay available and a different story each time depending on choices you make.
If you haven't bought it already then it's definately worth the look. What kind of RPG is Dragon Age: Origins?
The gameplay is more like World Of Warcraft in the fighting style aspects of it. (You pick a target, hit attack, and every so often your character will attack.) But it has a RTS feel in the sense you can switch between all of your party members then tell them what to do.
The game tells you where to go and if you play through all the quests and side quests in the game you'll get around 50+ hrs in it.
Pros:
1) Its a really fun game and has a great story.
2)Classic RPG style
3)Multiple introductions actually add to your characters story
Cons:
1)When the game ends it literally ends (unless you buy downladable content)
2)Every enemy you kill you'll never be able to fight again in that character profile
3)You'll end the game being lvl 20 something
Good game for $30 but if you're getting it I'd get the one with extra content because beating the game and working on your character for so long to just have it all end is dissapointing.
It goes back to the origins of BioWare RPGs. On PC and Mac the gameplay is similar to Baldur's Gate and some MMORPG's. You have an action bar with skills and you click on them to use them. You can pause the game and zoom out for a strategic overview.
The structure is very similar to other BioWare games. It's not open ended like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout 3. Instead you have a map screen and click where you want to go. Combat is not like Mass Effect, Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls. Your main quest is very straightforward so there's no getting lost. What kind of RPG is Dragon Age: Origins?
It's similar to Mass Effect (ME) but more so to Bioware's previous game, Knights of the Old Republic. You're told to do main missions (in any order you wish) and you can pick up a number of side missions on the way. It's not nearly as open world as Oblivion or Fallout where you can walk for hours in one direction but there are still quite a few places to explore.
I heartily recommend it, all the same.
More like Mass Effect series, definitely.
But be warned; this game is not only long, but has repulsive, TERRIBLE gameplay! The story is cool, for the most part, but I lost a bit of my soul going through this lame adventure. Just look up dialogues on youtube and save yourself the torture.

How do you get the Blood Dragon Armor on Mass Effect 2 for Xbox 360?
The version of Dragon Age Origins I have is the version bought off of Steam. So how do I register that? Thanks. How do you get the Blood Dragon Armor on Mass Effect 2 for Xbox 360?
If you have the code for it you have to enter it into the cerberus network. How do you get the Blood Dragon Armor on Mass Effect 2 for Xbox 360?
I bought mine at eb and it came with the game code, Steam should usually send you extra information through your email, I suggest you check the email you registered with steam.
All you need is a code to redeem the armour, and if steam hasn't sent it to you; you can email them and request the code.

Dragon Age: Origins or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
Pro's and Minus's of both games :) }
Thanks.Dragon Age: Origins or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
This is REALLY a tough question because they are vastly different games and so much relies on your own personal preference so heres the Pluses and Minuses of each.
Dragon Age Origins
+ HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE Game. May take upwards of 100 hours to get something like 80% of the game content explored, and thats not including the various options that relate to your chosen race, class, gender ETC. So you could literally play the game 50 times and have vastly different outcomes based on choices you make.
+/- No multiplayer. This is good %26amp; Bad. Its a fantastic game standing on its own feet and doesn't really need multiplayer - besides sometimes you just need a break from all the whiney emo 6 year olds who play only shooters.
+ Looks Great, Plays Great
+ Sounds Great - Great Music, Great Voice Acting, Great effects. Its very very immersive and you tend to really get into the story.
COD:MW2
+ Multiplayer - Just playing multiplayer people will be playing this game for years if its anywhere nearly as good as COD4. Its totally, life-rapingly addictive and will consume all semblance of social life if you arent careful.
- Short campaign. Infinity Ward is famous for the short campaign - but generally they take quality over quantity.
+ Beautiful Graphics
+ Beautiful sound, effects are great, music is stirring and Voice actors you have heard of.
On the whole I have been waiting for MW2 for a LOOOOOooong time and originally Dragon age was just a blip on the radar. I had no idea how utterly engrossed in dragon age I would become. Time will tell as we're about 15 hours from MW2 release. I still find myself wanting to play Dragon Age again............Dragon Age: Origins or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
I don't know dragon age:origins looks pretty stupid in my opinion. But, I've never played it. Personally I'd prefer Modern WArfare 2Dragon Age: Origins or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
I heard that Dragon Age: Origins is really dificult but the good part is it's like Oblivion. I would get Call of Duty because i like war games.

I went with Dragon Age. (I'm going to try to get MW2 but it isn't certain).
MW2
+Looks great
+Awesome multiplayer experience
+fast paced shoot gamer play
+solid story
-short campaign mode
-Linear game always the same twice
Dragon Age Origins
+Amazing RPG with full dialogue options etc.
+Full character customization
+50+ hours of gameplay with multiple endings
-No multiplayer
-Average graphics, good character design but nothing over the top.
I'd rather have a game that just beating it will last me for hours upon hours, then something I can finish in just a few sittings then have to reply on multiplayer to give it any further value.
I have to go with MW2 all the way.
This game is going to be amazing; if you have ever played the first MW then you will know that this game is going to fulfill our every online killing needs. Infinity Ward took all of its fans complaints from MW and totally revamped MW2 to fit accordingly. It can supply you with endless hours of play so i would really have to encourage you to go Modern Warfare 2 all the way.
Just take some time and look at some online videos and you'll get yourself excited
Hope to see you out on the field!Dragon Age: Origins or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
Im call of duty mw2 fan die hard all the damn way. Call of duty is going to provide endless online gameplay, i mean nothing will ever be the exact same 2ce. this WILL be game of the decade.
You cant really compare these games.
They're 2 different styles.
It's a matter of preference.
I go Mw2.Dragon Age: Origins or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
Dragon Age. Anything Bioware makes is nothing short of awesome. You won't regret it.
