Dragon age 2 vs dragon age origins?
if there were no titles at all and someone just made you test and play both of these games which one would you think is better. Also if they made you play dragon age 2 first then dragon age origins second, wich one would you think is better? Vice versaDragon age 2 vs dragon age origins?
The first for sure. At this point, DA2 could've been a completely different game entirely.
The game wasn't bad, but it has that nasty "streamlined" stink. Perhaps it improved Mass Effect, but it had no place in DA2. Brent Knowles (The lead developer of DA:O) Left Bioware over his dissatisfaction over DA2. True story.
And it was Brent Knowles who made DA:O into the game it was. Since he left, it's obvious the effect this had on DA2. The first game was created as a throwback to old school RPG's games, the days when men were men and women were also men. When there was rich writing and memorable characters to drive the plot, and the action was heavily centered around actual tactics and use of every single utility ability available. This new format is just too mainstream friendly. The "revamped" John Woo combat felt unwelcome and jarring. Combat flowed easier from enemy to enemy, but the pace of whittling enemies down felt way slower because abilities had insanely long cooldowns, and there less utility abilities too. They stripped down classes, and worse of all, removed customization of party members.
The fully voiced main character was alright, but pigeonholed us into being one person. I do find both male and female voices to be really good. But we can only be one thing, a human. I've beaten DA:O once as every race, and I liked that. Even though the Grey Warden was never voice acted, he/she hand hundreds of more things to say than Hawke ever did. I can't believe they brought over the Mass Effect conversation wheel. The whole blatant Good/Evil thing is boring, and I enjoyed interpreting my own actions in my own way.
The story was also a complete mess. It was all over the place and I had no clue why I was even playing it. Every single act represent a small civil dispute that is resolved then onto the next thing. There was no sense of any kind of over-arching menace (world threatening or not), no urgency. We spent way too much time in Kirkwall, fighting the same roaming gangsters over and over. The fights were also disappointing. Once I realized what the game was doing (That is, almost every fight revolved entirely around elite enemies, and spawning another group of goons behind you every time you come close to ending a fight. Once the elites are dead, that's it, even if there are still goons around, the fight is over. Even on the hardest difficulty.) The game never does anything to change this up. I realized how repetitive this got 3 hours into the game and it NEVER CHANGED.
The recycled areas are a big worrying symptom of the game being totally rushed. On top of the fact that lead Dev left the team and there was NO delay put on the game whatsoever makes me believe this game was just released as a cash-in.
The game was by no means horrible. But it was in many ways disappointing compared to the standard that DA:O set. If I played the games separately, the more meticulous RPG elements and more challenging combat of DA:O would've had me sold on it over DA2.
i would actually go with dragon age 2. i was not in love with it when i first started as it was sort of expecting dragon age origins 2 as opposed to dragon age 2, so some of the changes pissed me off. as i went along though, i found myself liking it more and more.
the fully voiced main character is great, the improved cutscenes and characters are great, the story is much better (less saving the world crap) and above all, the combat is much much better. i was never one for trying hard fights 10 times to beat them, or even using too much strategy, so this was quite nice.
the downsides are copied and pasted areas (i think they rushed the game out) and lack of interaction with party members. you can't really ever talk to them like you can in DAO, which i didn't like. the other thing is that they removed most of the armor and such. the inventory is very slimmed down and a shadow of its former self. i didn't like that, although i didn't end up minding that you couldn't change party member's armor as much as i thought i would. the gifts are also not great.
the game froze a lot for me during the first 15 hours and then stopped, which was nice because i was getting a freeze an hour at first.
all in all, although it took getting used to, i ended up enjoying it quite a bit :) if i had played DA2 and then played DAO, i would have been a little bored with the combat but i would enjoy the role playing elements more.Dragon age 2 vs dragon age origins?
Honestly i have to say 2 was better. The characters had more personality to them, the story was better, better character development, cool combat and spells and much more.
I think everyone just says it sucks because it has the words Dragon Age in the title.
I liked origins waaay better personally.

Left 4 Dead 2 or Dragon Age Origins?
Which one should I get? I tried the left for dead 2 demo and it was alright, I was a little impressed. I havent got a chance to try Dragon Age Origins yet, but I heard that it is a rly good game. Also which system should i get that game on? D:
KTHXBYELeft 4 Dead 2 or Dragon Age Origins?
if you like shooters more go for left 4 dead.
if you like story and a lot of role play and enjoy deep immersed game play go for dragon age.
shooters are fun but little are involved in them stories are normally weak with little you can do to make the plot deeper and more interesting unless it is a shooter rpg. and left 4 dead is just cool looking and fun to kill things no real story behind it.Left 4 Dead 2 or Dragon Age Origins?
My suggestion is Left 4 dead 2 thats cool game.

Are these specs good enough to play dragon age origins and mass effect 2?
Graphics card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650
Processor: Intel Core i5 430M(2.26GHz)Are these specs good enough to play dragon age origins and mass effect 2?
DAO: should be, the graphics card scored a high score at notebookcheck. And the processor should be okay... My Laptop (ASUS X72VN) can play DAO on medium graphics no problem, small lags on full. so I think you should do well =)Are these specs good enough to play dragon age origins and mass effect 2?

Is dragon age origins 2 player or multi player?
could my friend and I make different characters and play in the same party or he could play as one of the preset npcs?Is dragon age origins 2 player or multi player?
So far the game is a single player RPG with no form of multiplayer at all. However, rumors persist that certain comments made by the developers might mean that they're working on a patch or download that might have a multiplayer aspect in it, but for not just treat that as an unconfirmed rumor. Is dragon age origins 2 player or multi player?
Its an mmo

Dragon Age Origins Vs. Dragon Age 2?
I just bought Dragon Age Origins and i love it, cant wait to get back home and carry on.
But I've heard Dragon Age 2 is a very different game; should i go ahead and buy '2' when i complete Origins?
Personal reference only please, i don't want any copy and pastes from Wiki, thanks.Dragon Age Origins Vs. Dragon Age 2?
It's a matter of opinion, but the majority of people who loved the original Dragon Age absolutely hate the second installment. The general feeling is that DA2 pretty much ruined the potential for the series.Dragon Age Origins Vs. Dragon Age 2?
personally i preferred Dragon Age origins as the game is more story based and less button bashing, Dragon age 2 is less story based and involves allot of side mission which you have to do and too me has lost the fact you are trying to save something instead it just about do this then do that and doesn't really link together and it is really heavy button bashing.
but it up to you i suggest renting the game from blockbuster before buyingDragon Age Origins Vs. Dragon Age 2?
Dragon Age: Origins is a great game. I played the original version with out expansion pack before but traded it in long ago. Ordered this one to re-play the game with all of the expansions. Unfortunately Disk 1 was unreadable (it's an OEM disk, just doesn't read). I bought it used on amazon.com through goHastings. They are unable to replace but are refunding w/o issue so I'm still rating 5 stars. This game really is a lot of fun.

Call of duty modern warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, or Dragon Age: Origins?
I am trying to choose between these three game. I love all three genres. I don't have live. I have an XBOX 360.
P.S.- Suggest different new games if you want but i hate racing gamesCall of duty modern warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, or Dragon Age: Origins?
i go with mw2 for online play then ac2 to chill out on after playing mw2
edit: didnt know you did not have live. i'd stick with ac2 because mw2 story more is very short.
Assassins Creed 2 will serve you best if you dont have live :)Call of duty modern warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, or Dragon Age: Origins?
Well if you don't have live than cross off MW2 because the multiplayer is the best part of it. Then from there I'd go with Assassins Creed 2.
definitely mw2! the game is epic!
of course you'll want live though.Call of duty modern warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, or Dragon Age: Origins?
assasins creed if you dont have live. Definately call of duty mw2 if you do. otherwise any other various good games are fable 2, or blazing angels. those two kept me playing straight for months.
i go with allof them, but if you don't have live no point for COD MW2, so idk i have Dragon AGE it's boring in the starting then it gets interesting i saw Marvel Ultimate alliance 2=) vote for emma frost
